(previously USArts International Training Program)

International Arts & Artists (IA&A) sponsors international students and young professionals for the United States J1 intern and trainee visas. IA&A also (when needed) helps international students and post-graduates connect with arts and culture-related organizations to complete valuable on-the-job training and internship placements in the United States.

IA&A is a designated J1 trainee and intern visa sponsor and issues the signed DS-2019 form (Certificate of Eligibility) necessary to apply for the J1 trainee/intern visa. IA&A provides vital support throughout the J1 visa application process, helping candidates to understand and complete the application procedures once the internship/training placement has been arranged.

We accept applications for placements in visual and performing arts, arts management, industrial design and interior design, graphic design, architecture, media and communications, marketing, finance and business in the arts and culture, crafts and design, and performing arts management. IA&A also considers applicants seeking experience in management and commerce.

IA&A acts as the liaison for both the international candidate and the host organization during the entire length of program. IA&A provides international visitors with pre-arrival information, and mentoring and monitoring throughout participants’ stay in the United States on the J1 visa.

IA&A has sponsored J1 visa participants from more than 30 nations worldwide including Nepal, Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, and Australia.
